peashooter85:

A sniper rifle of a different sort.

A lone gunman takes up sniper position in a dark building.  He peers through the scope, hunting for his next target.  He spots him, an unsuspecting victim texting on a cell phone.  The sniper calms his breathing and cooly pulls the trigger.  In an instant a tight beam is fired and the “rifle” hacks into the victims cell phone, downloading sensitive personal information.

Yes, thats right, this is a bluetooth sniper rifle.  Built by John Hering, a student at the University of Southern California, this rifle can hack into any wireless device and download sensitive personal data.  This includes cell phones, computers, PDAs, and Cameras.  The bluetooth sniper rifle has a maximum range of one mile.

While John Hering only uses his rifle only to test the security of devices for manufacturers, God knows what thieves, conmen, and assholes are trying to create now.
